Caja de Valores S.A. was founded in 1974 and performs a vital function for the capital markets in Argentina. It is the only depository in the country which, under the legal figure of collective deposit, carries out the custody of public and private securities, facilitating their transaction in compliance with the security and privacy requirements of law 20643 and its complementary norms (under the control of the National Securities Commission). Its main offices are in the city of Buenos Aires with branches in Córdoba, Mendoza, Rosario and Santa Fe. The principal shareholders of the company are the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange and the Buenos Aires Securities Market, while the Exchanges and Markets from the interior of the country hold a minority share.
Caja de Valores S.A. have used Loyal since 2002, and in 2004 they successfully certified their Customer Service Procedures ISO 9001:2000 at their main office for custodial services as well as for services as registering agents and securities subscription agents.
María Eugenia Limeres, Responsible Officer for Organization and Methods, also in charge of the certification Project at Caja de Valores S.A. told us about her experiences with LOYAL:
“We were looking for software that would help us achieve better management of the documents from the moment of generation up to their publication and later use for consultation. When we chose LOYAL, one of the advantages was the decrease in the amount of paper used, with the resulting decrease in cost when it came to distributing the documents.
